After Effects Masking & Tracking

I’m gearing up to finish a batch of roughly 100 short videos and I need an experienced After Effects artist to jump in and keep the post-production pipeline moving smoothly. The bulk of the work involves two recurring tasks:

• Clean, accurate masking and camera tracking on moving handheld footage that usually has moderate walking or panning motion.
• Environment replacement—mostly swapping in realistic indoor or outdoor backgrounds so the final shots look seamless.

You can tackle the job full-time on an hourly basis or quote me a fixed rate per finished video; I’m flexible as long as we maintain consistent turnaround and quality.

Typical workflow:
– Receive the raw clip (ProRes or H.264) plus reference boards.
– Track the camera (AE 3D Camera Tracker or Mocha, whichever you prefer).
– Create tight masks around subjects, refine edges, and lock them to the track.
– Composite the new background plate, balance color and light so it sits naturally, and deliver both the final render (ProRes 422) and the organized .aep with all assets linked.

I’ll supply all background plates, LUTs, and a style guide. You just need solid mastery of After Effects, masking, Mocha/AE tracking, and an eye for photo-real compositing. If this sounds like your wheelhouse, let’s talk schedule and start knocking these videos out.
