Job Title
Professional English Speaking & Communication Coach – Meetings, Interviews & Workplace Practice
Job Description
I am looking for an experienced English communication coach to help me improve my professional speaking, confidence, reasoning, and ability to explain my thoughts clearly.
I already speak English and work in a professional environment. I am not looking for basic English lessons or grammar-only tutoring.
My main challenge is that sometimes I know what I want to say, but during meetings, interviews, or unexpected questions, I get stuck or have difficulty organizing my thoughts and explaining them professionally.
I would like our sessions to be mostly realistic speaking practice and role-play.
For example, you may act as:
* My supervisor asking questions about my work
* An interviewer asking behavioural or situational questions
* A colleague challenging my recommendation or asking “why?”
* Someone in a Teams meeting asking me to explain a technical issue or proposed solution
* A manager asking me to present a plan or recommendation
* A person discussing or debating a topic where I need to explain and defend my reasoning
* A teacher, school administrator, or other professional where I need to communicate clearly and confidently
I want you to ask me follow-up questions and unexpected questions, rather than giving me the answers immediately.
After I answer, I would like you to help me improve:
* How I organize my thoughts
* Sentence structure and professional wording
* Vocabulary
* Clarity and conciseness
* Confidence and speaking fluency
* How I explain my reasoning
* How I answer difficult or unexpected questions
* How to disagree or give an opinion professionally
* How to present a recommendation, problem, solution, or plan
For example, if my answer is confusing or too long, I would like you to say something like: “Here is a clearer way you could have explained that,” and then have me try the answer again.
Session Format
I am looking for approximately 1-hour sessions, potentially on a regular basis if we work well together.
I prefer someone who is comfortable having natural conversations rather than following a textbook.
Ideal Freelancer
Experience in one or more of the following would be helpful:
* Business English coaching
* Professional communication coaching
* Interview coaching
* Public speaking
* Workplace communication
* Debate or critical-thinking practice
* Presentation coaching
* Leadership or executive communication
* ESL coaching for professionals
Native-level English is preferred, but excellent professional English and strong coaching skills are more important.
When applying, please briefly tell me:
1. Your experience with professional/workplace communication coaching.
2. How you would structure a typical 1-hour session.
3. Whether you are comfortable doing role-play and challenging me with follow-up questions.
4. Your hourly rate.
I am looking for someone patient but also willing to correct me, challenge my thinking, and push me to become a stronger professional speaker.
