Add Geo-Features to Chilean WP Site

Location-Based Features to WordPress Website – Chile

I am looking for a developer to integrate two location-based features into my existing Chilean website, DatoPicada.cl.

1. “Businesses Near Me” – Negocios Cerca de Mí

DatoPicada.cl is a local business directory built with WordPress / ListingPro.

I already have businesses published on the website with their addresses and locations.

I need a new feature called:

“Negocios Cerca de Mí”

The feature should:

- Ask the user for browser/mobile GPS location permission.
- Detect the user's current location using geolocation.
- Find businesses already published on DatoPicada.cl near the user's current location.
- Display the closest businesses first.
- Show distance from the user (for example: 500 m, 1.2 km, 3 km).
- Allow filtering by business category.
- Display results on a map and/or list.
- Allow the user to click a business and open its existing DatoPicada listing.
- Include a button such as “Cómo llegar” to open navigation/directions.
- Work correctly on Android, iPhone and desktop browsers.
- Integrate with the existing ListingPro listings/database rather than creating a separate business database.

The feature should preferably allow users to select a search radius, for example:

1 km / 3 km / 5 km / 10 km / 20 km

2. “Cheapest Gas Near Me” – Bencina Más Barata Cerca de Mí

I also need a second location-based tool for finding nearby gas stations and comparing current fuel prices in Chile.

Main gas station brands to prioritize:

- COPEC
- Shell
- Aramco

The user should be able to select:

Gasoline 93 / 95 / 97 / Diesel

The tool should use the user's GPS location and display nearby gas stations including:

- Gas station name/brand
- Current fuel price
- Fuel type
- Address
- Distance from user's current location
- Last price update, when available
- Map location
- “Cómo llegar” / Directions button

Results should be sortable by:

Cheapest price
Closest distance

Ideally, the cheapest nearby option should be clearly highlighted.

Data Source

For fuel prices, the developer should use a legal and reliable Chilean data source, preferably official public information from CNE / Bencina en Línea (Comisión Nacional de Energía) or another legally permitted source.

The developer must verify how the data can legally and technically be accessed and integrated.

The system should NOT depend on manually entering fuel prices.

Design

Both tools must:

- Be in Spanish for visitors.
- Have a clean and professional design.
- Be fully responsive.
- Work well on mobile devices.
- Match the current DatoPicada.cl design.
- Be integrated directly into the existing WordPress website.
- Be tested before delivery.
- Not interfere with existing ListingPro functionality.

The developer may create a custom WordPress plugin, shortcode or another appropriate solution.

Budget

TOTAL FIXED BUDGET: USD $40

This is a one-time payment of USD $40 for BOTH features fully integrated and working.

There are no monthly payments from me for development.

If an external API requires a recurring paid subscription, the developer MUST inform me before implementation. Preference will be given to free/open/official data sources.

Please do not bid above $40.

The project will be considered completed when BOTH features are installed, tested and working correctly on DatoPicada.cl.

When applying, please explain:

1. How you will obtain the user's GPS location.
2. How you will calculate nearby DatoPicada businesses.
3. What source you will use for Chilean fuel prices.
4. Whether the solution requires any paid API or recurring fee.
5. Confirm that your total price is USD $40 for both features.
