My HVAC monitoring platform is running smoothly on a TypeScript code-base, but the equipment management section now needs two extra capabilities: asset tracking and usage logging. Your job is to weave these into the existing module without disturbing any of the current workflows.

You will work directly with the repository I provide, extend the current models, services and UI where needed, link the new data to the existing database tables, and then run a full round of regression tests. I’ll walk you through the code structure and the exact data points I need captured (serial numbers, runtime hours, timestamps, etc.) so you can wire everything up cleanly.

Because the system is already in production, backward compatibility and clean Git commits are critical. I expect:

• Seamless integration of asset tracking and usage logging inside the present equipment management screens and APIs
• Any necessary migrations or schema tweaks scripted and documented
• End-to-end testing that proves nothing else broke (unit, integration or API tests—whatever fits the stack)
• Clear comments and a short hand-off note describing the new endpoints, tables or UI components

If you’re comfortable digging into someone else’s TypeScript project, refactoring carefully, and pushing fully-tested code, I’m ready to share the repo and kick things off right away.
