Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on accounts payable processes. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company's payables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors.
Responsibilities:
Process and review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve any discrepancies
Prepare and process payments to vendors, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all payables and payments
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any issues or discrepancies
Communicate with vendors to resolve payment-related inquiries in a timely manner
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Assist with month-end closing processes and provide support for audits
Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline accounts payable processes
Other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with remote work is a plus
