ABOUT OUTBUILD
At Outbuild, our innovative team is on a mission to transform how the construction industry plans and executes projects. Our all-in-one platform focuses on improving how construction teams manage scheduling, coordination, and communication. We apply Lean Construction and BIM principles to streamline these processes, enabling our clients—primarily in the U.S.—to work more efficiently.
Outbuild is the Scheduling Intelligence Platform built specifically for the construction industry. At its core, Outbuild prevents delays and cost overruns with AI-powered scheduling, field coordination, and portfolio visibility.
The platform combines master scheduling, short-term planning, and AI-driven insights into one connected system. By centralizing workflows and improving communication between office and field teams, Outbuild helps contractors reduce schedule risk, improve accountability, and make faster decisions across entire portfolios of projects.
We're growing quickly, and our customers are at the center of that growth. We're looking for our first Account Manager to own the renewal relationship for our company-wide customers, protect the revenue we have, and grow it at renewal.
OUR CORE VALUES:
Integrity: We do the right thing—even when it's hard, even when no one is looking. Our integrity builds trust with teammates, customers, and partners. It’s the foundation of how we make decisions and take action.
Honesty & Transparency: We communicate openly and clearly. Whether it’s sharing wins or owning mistakes, we lead with truth. Transparency keeps our team aligned, builds stronger relationships, and drives better outcomes.
Empathy: We take time to understand the experiences, challenges, and perspectives of others. By listening with care and responding with compassion, we build a culture where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.
Innovation: We challenge assumptions and seek better ways to build. Whether it’s the tools we create or the problems we solve, we stay curious, move fast, and embrace bold ideas that move the construction industry forward.
Quality: We take pride in our craft. From code to communication, every detail matters. We aim for excellence in everything we deliver—because our work shapes the way others build the world.
Ownership: We act like owners—because we are. We step up, take accountability, and follow through. No task is too small, no problem is someone else’s. We take initiative and drive results, together.
MISSION:
To empower construction field teams with the best-in-class scheduling and planning software on the market—reshaping how the world builds.
VISION:
To become the world’s new standard platform for construction scheduling and planning—replacing the status quo and improving project outcomes across the industry.
SUMMARY
Location: Remote, US based
Reports to: VP of Sales
Employment type: Full-time
You will be Outbuild's first Account Manager. You will own the renewal relationship for our company-wide customers, a multi-million-dollar book with around 150 renewals each year. Your job has two parts: protect the revenue we have, and add revenue by bringing Outbuild Pro and other modules into the renewal conversation and capturing growth as our customers grow.
You will work closely with our Customer Success Managers, who drive adoption and product value. As the first person in this seat, you will also help build the function, from renewal process to account health scoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the Renewal Cycle
Manage every company-wide renewal from first conversation to signature
Start renewal conversations early, working from a renewal calendar that runs six months or more ahead of each contract end date
Negotiate pricing, term, and scope with customers and their decision makers
Run renewals through our HubSpot renewal pipeline and forecast them accurately each quarter
Add Revenue at Renewal
Position Outbuild Pro and other modules as part of the renewal conversation
Identify which accounts are a good fit based on usage and needs, and build the business case for adding a module
Capture volume growth as customers add projects and users, and build it into the renewal
Close module add-ons at renewal and track them in HubSpot
Protect the Base
Track account health and flag churn risk early, using usage and engagement signals
Build save plans with Customer Success for accounts marked at risk
Understand why customers downgrade or leave, and share what you learn
Build the Function
Help define the account management playbook, including renewal timelines, health scoring, and module attach plays
Capture customer feedback and feature requests and share them with Product
Keep clean, current records in HubSpot
Renewal volume is heaviest in the first half of the year, so expect Q1 and Q2 to be your busiest quarters.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 60 Days
Learn the product, including Pro and our other modules
Take ownership of the upcoming renewal calendar
Meet your top accounts and review every renewal due in the next two quarters
First Year
Meet your quarterly retention and new ARR goals
Establish a repeatable renewal and module attach process
Leave a documented playbook the next hire can use
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 5 years in account management in B2B Saas - Construction Technology
A track record of retaining revenue on a book of business
Experience selling add-on modules or features to existing customers
Strong negotiation skills and confidence discussing pricing and contract terms
Excellent written and verbal communication
Disciplined CRM habits (HubSpot preferred)
Comfort building process in a role with no existing playbook
HOW YOU WILL BE MEASURED
Goals are set and paid quarterly.
Gross revenue retention (GRR): the share of renewing ARR we keep, before any added revenue
New ARR: revenue added at renewal from Outbuild Pro, other modules, and volume growth
Renewal forecast accuracy and CRM hygiene
