I’m developing a laboratory‐scale system for scientific research that needs a robust, constant-current pulsed power supply. The unit will take a 380 V, 50 Hz three-phase input and must drive a 2 Ω load with 400 A pulses, translating to about 800 V across the load during each shot. Pulse width has to be fully adjustable from 1 ms to 10 ms, with the operator able to select either a single pulse or a five-pulse burst every minute through software-controlled settings (no manual knobs).
The job is split into two clearly defined stages:
• Level 1 – Schematic & Magnetics: I need a complete circuit schematic, transformer and inductor calculations, protection strategy, and a verified simulation that proves the design meets current, voltage, and timing targets. Please work in Orcad or Altium—as long as the files open cleanly in one of those tools, I’m happy.
• Level 2 – Proof of Concept: Once the schematic is signed off, we move to a hardware demo that reproduces the specified pulse train on a real load, together with measured waveforms and a brief test report.
Payment is tied to each stage, with a modest slice for the design package and a larger one once working hardware is validated. If you have deep power-electronics experience with high-current, high-voltage pulsed supplies and can document everything clearly, let’s talk.
