6 Fantasy Centaur Herd Concepts

I’m expanding my Daggerheart campaign setting and need visual references for my home-brewed centaur race. There are six distinct herds, each shaped by their homeland, and I’d like one fully rendered fantasy-style character concept for every group.

The herds live in:
• sun-blasted Desert dunes
• craggy Mountainous highlands
• lush, misty Rainforest canopies
• ancient Elder-growth Forests of towering redwoods
• sweeping Open Plains and flower-strewn Meadows and lower water basins
• the windswept Northern Icy Coast

For each piece, please let the environment guide coat color, physique, clothing, and ornamentation, while also weaving in unique cultural elements—tribal markings, regional materials, symbolism, and anything that tells their story at a glance.

Deliverables
1. Six full-color, full-body centaur concept sheets (one per herd) in high-resolution PNG or layered PSD.
2. A short design note per herd explaining key cultural and environmental influences.

Fantasy illustration experience is essential; a knack for readable silhouettes and imaginative world-building details will stand out. I’m happy to answer lore questions quickly so you can dive straight into sketching.
