FISH-ATTACHING THROW FLASHER – ENCLOSED WEIGHTED/RATTLE CHAMBER MODIFICATION

CLIENT: [Name / Business]
DESIGNER: [Name / Company]
DATE: [Date]

PROJECT

The Client has an existing fish-attaching throw flasher design. This project is ONLY to modify the existing design by adding an enclosed internal cylinder/chamber to the upper/nose section, as shown in the attached reference images.

The purpose of the chamber is to allow small weights/rattle components to be inserted during 3D printing. The print will be paused at the appropriate layer, the internal components inserted, and printing then resumed so the chamber is completely sealed inside the finished part.

The intended purposes are:

1. Add internal weight to help the device enter the water nose-first.
2. Create a rattle/sound effect from movement of the internal components.
3. Permanently seal the internal components inside the printed device.

DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

The chamber should:

• Be positioned generally along the longitudinal centreline of the upper/nose section.
• Remain substantially enclosed within the existing body.
• Allow sufficient clearance for the internal weights/rattle components to move.
• Allow the print to be paused and resumed to completely seal the chamber.
• Maintain adequate surrounding wall thickness and structural integrity.
• Change the existing external shape only where reasonably necessary for this modification.

The exact chamber dimensions, wall thickness and clearances should be determined by the Designer based on the existing geometry and the intended internal components.

The red markings in the attached reference images are conceptual guides only and are NOT exact dimensions.

The existing external profile, fins, attachment points, functional geometry and other existing features must not be substantially changed without the Client's prior approval.

DELIVERABLES

The Designer must provide:

• Modified STEP file.
• Modified STL file suitable for 3D printing.
• Native CAD/source file where available.
• Recommended print pause layer/height.
• Basic chamber dimensions and relevant design notes.

The files must be fully editable/openable by the Client and must not contain intentional restrictions or locks.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All existing design files, concepts, geometry, dimensions, drawings and other information supplied by the Client remain the Client's property and confidential information.

Any new CAD geometry or modification specifically created for this project will belong to the Client upon payment of the agreed milestone.

The Designer receives access to the Client's files solely to complete this project and receives no ownership, manufacturing, licensing or commercial rights.

NON-DISCLOSURE / CONFIDENTIALITY

The Designer must keep all Client files and information strictly confidential.

The Designer must NOT:

• Share the files with another person, designer, engineer, factory or manufacturer without written permission.
• Upload the files to public websites, CAD libraries or file-sharing platforms.
• Upload the files to AI systems or other third-party services without written permission.
• Publish photographs, screenshots, renders or details of the design.
• Use the design in a portfolio without written permission.
• Manufacture, mass-produce, sell or license the product.
• Use the design or modification for another customer or competing product.
• Give any third party permission to manufacture or commercially exploit the design.

The Designer remains responsible for any unauthorised disclosure or use by anyone they provide access to.

The confidentiality and non-use obligations continue after completion or termination of the project.

FILE SECURITY

The Designer must take reasonable steps to protect the Client's files from unauthorised access, copying or disclosure.

Upon reasonable request, the Designer must return or permanently delete the Client's confidential files, except where legally required to retain them.

ACCEPTANCE

The milestone is complete when the agreed chamber modification has been incorporated and the required STEP/STL files and design information have been supplied.

The Client will conduct physical testing of buoyancy, nose-first orientation, sinking behaviour, rattle performance, internal weight configuration and durability.

The Designer is responsible for producing the modification according to this specification but does not guarantee real-world performance unless separately agreed.

UNAUTHORISED CHANGES

The Designer must not substantially modify the existing design outside the agreed chamber modification without the Client's approval.

If additional changes are considered technically necessary, the Designer must notify the Client before making them.

AGREEMENT

By accepting this milestone and commencing work, the Designer confirms that they have read and agreed to the above requirements and understands that the Client's design and the resulting modification are confidential and may not be copied, disclosed, manufactured or commercially exploited without the Client's written permission.
