3D Portfolio: Nausicaa

Project Nausicaa is a short film to pay tribute to Studio Ghibli’s Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - one of the most iconic pieces of post apocalyptic sci-fi feature animation. It is the photorealistic take of the world building of the film, attempting to depict the action-pack quality and the grandiosity of the original visual experience. The overall pacing is a gradual build up, leading towards an upbeat of action sequences and ending with the crescendo of visuals and audio.

As part of a 3-person team project, I took on the responsibility of project lead and 3D artist to remake an original 2D hand-drawn film into a 3D version.
