I need an experienced 3D modeller/drafter to complete general arrangement and layout drawings for a dust collection system. I already have the duct layout, the equipment is specified, and I have some files in STEP format. You will need to take the drawings and models from the equipment suppliers and put them into a clean GA/layout drawing for the project.
Here’s exactly what I’m looking for:
• A clean, navigable 3D model of the entire dust collection system (SolidWorks, Inventor, or a comparable platform) that includes the collector, ductwork, hoods, branches, and main headers.
• 2D layout drawings derived from the model that clearly show duct routing, sizes, elevations, and connections to each piece of equipment. They should be ready for review on PDF and native CAD (DWG or similar).
I’ll use the 3D model for clash detection and presentation, and the 2D sheets to guide installation crews and verify airflow balance, so accuracy to the provided dimensions is critical. Label every duct segment with size and airflow, and ensure nozzle and hood locations align with the machinery on the floor plans.
If you’ve worked with dust collection or similar process ducting before, that would be a big help.
Let me know which CAD package you prefer, a brief outline of your typical workflow, and how quickly you can turn the first draft once you have the reference files.
