I am looking for a CAD designer, expert that can model components for 3d printing. You should be able to work from images or drawings that I supply to model the components. I may have STEP files for some components. Each component must be 3d print ready checked by you before you send me the original file, and file formats. I have about 10 components in total, but I would like the Freelancer to run the first model as a demonstration of his/her capabilities, after which we can proceed with the project. The components are part of an exhibition model display, so they are not used in a physical or demanding way. They will probably be printed in PLA or SLA but we have not decided on what material yet.
Deliverables: to deliver the final files in both STEP format (for future CAD edits) and STL and 3MF format (high-density mesh for the printer slicing software).
Please ensure all geometries maintain a minimum wall thickness for structural strength, and run them through a mesh checker to ensure they are 100% manifold (watertight) with no self-intersecting faces. If I send to the 3d printer and there are edits to do, you will be responsible for making these edits as part of the project.
Please ensure that no detail, feature, or wall thickness drops below 1.0mm across the entire model, so all parts remain structurally sound and easy to print.
On awarding the project, you will receive 50% of the payment, the remainder will be released once you send me the final files, and once they are checked and approved by the 3d print company.
