We are looking for one 3D Blender artist/generalist, to take ownership of the unit and building art production for my game project an 3D science-fiction RTS viewed from a high gameplay camera. The ideal partner can deliver the complete two-faction roster. At minimum, a candidate must be able to complete one entire faction from concept to Unity-ready delivery. We are not looking for artists who can provide only a few isolated assets.

The planned maximum scope contains two visually distinct factions — Humans and Aliens — with:

- 15 unique unit types per faction, for 30 units in total;
- 12 unique building types per faction, for 24 building families in total;
- three visual evolution tiers for every building family: T1, T2 and T3;
- construction, operational, damaged, heavily damaged and destroyed building states.

The selected artist must be able to handle the complete pipeline: concept interpretation, modelling, UVs, PBR texturing, rigging, animation, LOD creation, simple colliders, named gameplay/VFX sockets and clean Unity-ready exports.

All units are seen from a high RTS camera and must remain immediately readable at gameplay distance from every direction. Required animation work includes living idle, walk, run, turning, aiming, combat attack or firing, recovery or reload, hit reactions, abilities, death and spawn. Deployable units also need deploy, deployed operation and undeploy animations. Aircraft require hover, movement, banking, attack, hit and destruction or falling animations. Animations must be in-place and include clear timing points for gameplay events, projectiles, impacts and VFX.

Buildings must preserve the same functional identity across T1, T2 and T3 while showing a clear visual progression. Construction and damage must be readable from the RTS camera. Reusable modular damage and construction components are acceptable when they remain visually convincing and do not make every building look identical.

The visual direction must be original and specific to my project. Several reference images, models and assets may be supplied to communicate silhouette, materials, scale, movement or faction identity. These references form a moodboard only and must never be copied, traced, kit-recoloured or reproduced 1:1.

Technical delivery targets include Blender 4.5 LTS source files, 1 metre scale, Y up, +Z forward, ground-centred pivots, Unity URP-compatible PBR materials, LOD0/1/2, separate simple colliders, team-colour/emission/damage masks and clearly named sockets. Sources, licences and any third-party contribution must be documented and commercially usable.

Please apply only if you can take responsibility for either the complete two-faction production or at least one full faction, yourself or through a stable small team. One full faction represents 15 unique unit types and 12 unique building families, including their required tiers, construction and damage states. Send a relevant RTS/strategy portfolio, examples of rigging and combat animation, examples viewed from a high gameplay camera, your production method, normal availability and the formats you can deliver.

The complete inventory, individual unit and building descriptions, visual references, technical targets, schedule, milestones and commercial details will be provided and discussed privately with candidates.
