2D/3D Rustic Log Home Plans

I’m preparing to build a two-storey, four-bed traditional rustic log cabin and need a full drawing package that I can hand straight to my builder and planning officer. The footprint is 15 m × 12 m and the brief is clear:

Ground floor: mostly open-plan kitchen, dining and living space, plus a small utility, a compact shower room, and one bedroom tucked into a quieter corner away from the shared areas.

Upper floor: three further bedrooms sharing a single shower room.

Around the exterior I want a continuous wrap-around veranda on all elevations, and the roof will be in natural slate.

For the site plan, the layout should be oriented to capture the best views and sunlight throughout the day; vehicle access can follow once the outlook is optimised.

To move ahead I need high-quality, build-ready documents created in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar:

• Scaled 2D floor plans for both levels
• All elevations with log detailing, veranda posts and railings
• Roof plan noting slate specification and pitch
• Site plan locating the house for maximum sun/views, including basic contours and parking layout
• Fully textured 3D model and two or three rendered perspectives that clearly show massing, veranda, and material finishes
• Print-ready PDFs plus the editable source files (DWG, RVT, SKP, etc.)

I’ll review the first draft for layout, proportion and overall style, then one revision round should get us to the permit set. Let me know your preferred software and estimated turnaround so we can get started.
