I am looking for a 2D motion designer / UI animator to create a short, polished 10–20 second animation that demonstrates how Tutor works.
The purpose of the animation is to help present the product to:
potential pilot schools;
This is not intended to be a generic marketing animation. The goal is to make the actual Tutor teaching experience immediately understandable.
What the Video Should Communicate
Within approximately 10–20 seconds, the animation should clearly show that Tutor:
explains concepts visually;
speaks while the board changes;
points to the exact learning object being discussed;
highlights or emphasizes important information;
lets the student interact with the lesson;
reacts to the learner’s response;
allows the learner to interrupt and ask a question;
opens a supporting explanation;
and returns to the original lesson without losing context.
The viewer should understand that this is:
an interactive teaching experience, not simply a chatbot, video lesson, or answer generator.
Example Animation Sequence
The exact storyboard will be finalized before full production, but an example sequence may look like this:
Scene 1 — Visual Explanation
The tutor introduces a concept on the board.
A number, equation, diagram, or learning object appears.
The tutor speaks while highlighting the relevant part of the board.
Scene 2 — Tutor Attention
The tutor turns toward the board and points to the exact object being explained.
For example:
“Look at this digit.”
The digit highlights while the tutor points toward it.
Scene 3 — Student Interaction
The learner performs an action such as:
selecting an object;
dragging a digit;
choosing an answer;
underlining, circling,highlighting, bolding of text,
identifying, crossing out, hiding a value from a text;
zoom to change camera angle of object;
rotate, flip, show 3D of objects
or interacting with part of the board.
The tutor reacts immediately.
Scene 4 — Learner Question
The learner asks a short question.
For example:
“Why does that happen?”
Scene 5 — Supporting Explanation
A supporting board or temporary explanation appears.
The tutor visually explains the idea using another example or representation.
Scene 6 — Return to Lesson
The supporting explanation closes.
The learner returns to the original lesson at the same point.
This moment is important because it demonstrates Tutor's ability to adapt without losing lesson context.
Visual Direction
The animation should feel:
clean;
modern;
educational;
polished;
intelligent;
approachable;
visually calm;
and suitable for both students and school decision-makers.
The motion should be purposeful.
I am not looking for:
excessive transitions;
flashy effects;
generic explainer-video animation;
unnecessary bouncing or movement;
cartoon-style motion that distracts from the teaching;
or visual effects added simply to make the video look busy.
Every movement should help communicate:
attention;
explanation;
interaction;
cause and effect;
or learner progress.
Existing UI/UX Assets
An approved UI/UX direction is already being developed.
The selected animator will receive relevant visual references, which may include:
Figma designs;
teaching-board layouts;
tutor character designs;
interface screens;
typography;
colors;
interaction states;
lesson assets;
brand direction;
and storyboard references.
Important
You are not required to animate the exact original Figma layers.
You may recreate or rebuild visual assets where necessary to make them animation-ready.
For example, you may need to rebuild:
tutor body parts into separate layers;
UI elements as editable vectors;
board objects;
highlights;
icons;
diagrams;
interaction states;
or interface panels.
However, any recreated assets must remain visually consistent with the approved product design.
The animator is not being hired to redesign the TutorAI interface.

choosing between options.

Examples:
Ask Tutor opening;
question entry;
supporting explanation transition;
