Summary
Prepare 2D ELV and electrical layouts, schematics, and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and revise 2D ELV and electrical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop layouts for CCTV, fire alarm systems, networking, wiring, and cable routing.
- Prepare electrical layouts for lighting and power distribution as required.
- Interpret engineering drawings, design specifications, sketches, and markups.
- Coordinate with electrical engineers and project teams to incorporate design changes.
- Ensure drawings follow project specifications, applicable standards, and drafting conventions.
- Maintain drawing revisions and organised project files.
- Check drawings for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
- Incorporate feedback and complete revisions within agreed timelines.
- Manage assigned drafting tasks and deliverables within the agreed hourly engagement.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience as an ELV Draftsman.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD 2D.
- Understanding of ELV systems, including CCTV, fire alarm systems, and networking.
- Understanding of electrical wiring, cable routing, and cable layouts.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of electrical and ELV symbols, drafting conventions, and drawing standards.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet agreed turnaround times.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
