“Moskateo” follows a tight crew of teenage, mosquito-human skateboarders grinding through a neon-lit, bug-ruled future. To keep the energy raw and authentic I need a digital 2D animator who can move fast, land every trick exactly as it looks in the reference clips, and still sell the dark-comic, sci-fi mood that defines the show.
What I’m after
• Clean, energetic digital 2D character animation that hits a blend of dark comedy, high-impact action and tongue-in-cheek humour.
• Skate sequences that feel believable to real skaters: kickflips, nose manuals, vert airs—the lot—matched to the timing and camera moves in the videos I’ll supply.
• Futuristic city backdrops alive with bug-scale detail, plus plenty of expressive close-ups so the audience feels every sting of teenage angst.
Audition phase
Before awarding the contract I’ll ask for a short test shot (5–10 seconds) using my model sheet and a reference trick. That sample lets me gauge timing, spacing and your feel for the show’s attitude. If you’ve got previous work that screams “skate culture with a twist,” link it and save us both time.
Series scope
The first batch covers a pilot plus teaser clips for social, but I’m building a long-running series; strong collaborators will roll straight into episode production. Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate or TVPaint are ideal, though any pro-level pipeline that exports layered PSD/PNG sequences and 4K ProRes is fine with me.
Key delivery requirements
• Final animation: 24 fps, 4K, square-pixel, linear colour
• Separate character and background passes for compositing
• Clean audio sync (scratch VO and SFX provided)
• All project files on approval
I keep feedback tight and turnaround clear so we both stay on schedule. If the idea of making mosquito skaters iconic fires you up, drop your reel and we’ll set up the test shot. No hate in the blood—just good vibes and killer animation.
