I’m preparing the electrical layout for a brand-new 12 V motorboat and need an experienced marine systems designer to turn my rough concept into a build-ready package. The scope covers the entire low-voltage network that will power our lighting, navigation equipment and communication systems.

Here’s what I need from you:

• A clear, ABYC-compliant schematic (PDF and editable CAD) showing wire runs, circuit protection, bus bars, switches and grounding.
• A complete, itemised bill of materials with manufacturer part numbers, wire gauges, breaker sizes and recommended sources.
• Installation notes that highlight any special considerations for salt-water environments and vibration on a planing hull.

Your design should allow for future expansion (extra nav gear or auxiliary lighting) without major rewiring, and it must integrate cleanly with the engine’s 12 V alternator and a shore-power charger. Familiarity with NMEA 2000 backbones, Blue Sea Systems hardware and modern LED load calculations will be a plus.

I’ll provide the hull layout, engine specs and any brand preferences as soon as we start. Once the first draft schematic is in, we’ll review it together, lock revisions, then finalise the parts list. If this sounds like your territory, let’s get this motorboat wired right the first time.
