Project overview
Job Description: This position creates visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. Graphic designer develops the overall layout and production design for advertisements and company branding and reports. Graphic designers typically do the following: Meet with the Creative Director (CD) or clients to determine the scope of a project Determine the message the design should portray Create images that identify a product or convey a message Develop graphics for product illustrations, logos, and websites Select colors, images, text style, and layout Present the design to the CD or clients Incorporate changes recommended by the CD or clients into the design Review designs for errors before printing or publishing them Collaborate across departments in gathering and implementation of insights A Typical Day Develop visual treatment/graphics including brand identities, public relations, advertising, social media, trade shows, collateral materials, and website design Prepare the final design for print and/or web Implement clients’ brand styles, provided copy, and revisions (both internal and external) into designs, while maintaining aesthetics, targeting, and timeline A Typical Interaction with a Graphic Designer Meet with the CD to identify the scope of project Work directly with the CD and the Creative Team to develop design solutions Qualifications An associate or bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field Proficient use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Experience working in Mac based environment is preferred A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills Detail Oriented Desire to excel in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and visual communication skills Excellent team player as well as ability to independently handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
