Project overview

Duties and Responsibilities: The job will include, without limitation, the following responsibilities. Note the duties may be altered from time to time in the sole and absolute discretion of Cboe Global Markets. Conduct detailed quantitative and statistical analyses both independently and at the direction of the Markets Strategy and vertical business groups. Nature of such analyses would include but not limit to the below: Extract actionable insights from Cboe’s vast order and trade data Assess effectiveness and impact resulting from pricing incentives or introduction of new functionality Provide data support in response to regulatory developments or to justify new product offering Conduct customer specific analysis, for example to improve usage of certain functionality Test concepts and product offering ideas. Explore alternative methodologies and other optimizations to improve the accuracy and quality of the experiments. Communicate regularly with the Markets Division business groups to review existing standard performance metrics and define new ones, both collaboratively and independently, to improve the comprehensiveness of business analytics. Work closely with the technology team to productionalize key metrics and reports accepted by the business to ensure sustainable and timely delivery for internal or external clients. Create ad hoc reports used for monitoring performance and developing new products, services, and business lines. Help gather competitive intelligence by compiling, organizing, and maintaining key pricing, rules, reference, and other relevant data sets from competitors. Assist the company’s efforts in advancing the development of business intelligence tools and their applications. Keep apprised of key trends in quantitative finance and data science (academic papers, conferences, events, etc.). Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Undergraduate or graduate level degree from an accredited college or university with a curriculum in a quantitative discipline such as Computational/Quantitative Finance, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Operations Research and Applied Math A GPA of 3.0 or better is required Mastery of one or more statistical software packages commonly used for data analysis. Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word. Working knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, and other market information systems. Must possess strong analytical, quantitative and research skills. Intellectually curious. Self-starter with the ability to multi-task effectively and independently within a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and presentation skills. SQL and programming skills (e.g. Python) preferred. Experience in a business intelligence platform (e.g. Tableau) desired. Excellent work ethic.
