Project overview
The Operations Manager plays a crucial role in the smooth functioning of the office. With overall responsibility for day-to-day operations, the Operations Manager must be able to work effectively with other staff members, clients, and Advisors. The Operations Manager is responsible for managing staff and reporting directly to the Partners. Responsibilities & Activities Manages the client servicing and operational associates. Oversees the hiring, training, management, and development of these individuals. Communicates, implements, and ensures compliance with guidelines and policies. Oversees trading for the office. Oversees billing for the office. Communicates with clients in person, in writing, and over the telephone. Manages new business functions. Handles training and continuing education for the firm. Coordinates team meetings. Develops and maintains written documentation (systems) of all activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Bachelor’s degree 10+ years experience in Wealth Management industry 5+ years management experience FINRA Series 65 Excellent knowledge of the securities industry’s rules and regulations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Excellent attitude and an extraordinary client service orientation Ability to handle multiple tasks and operate within tight deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
