And our lipstick hasn't even started drying yet. BIG PICTURE: We are searching for a part-time Director & Editor to help us create a YouTube channel. He or she will work closely with our founders and the other members of our creative and production teams to transform ideas into YouTube videos. The ideal candidate is experienced performing all video creation tasks including pre-production, lighting, sound, shooting, and editing. This candidate must have their own YouTube channel or has created YouTube videos for someone else. HOW YOU’LL SPEND YOUR TIME: Brainstorming and contributing creative ideas for YouTube videos Assisting with staging, set preparation, setting up, operating cameras and other equipment Creatively editing videos to add entertainment value such as by text, sounds, graphics and music Creating exciting video thumbnails that people want to click Selecting music and editing based on transitions Maintaining proper calibration of all equipment and performing regular and preventative maintenance WHAT YOU HAVE: Background in digital media, cinematography, film studies or related field Experience shooting viral short-form video content for social media Previously created a YouTube channel or work with current YouTubers Experience in the Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere, Photoshop, After Effects, etc. Demonstrated video editing ability with a strong portfolio Ability to work in a fast paced environment on a wide variety of projects WHO OVERSEES YOU: The Director & Editor reports directly to the Creative Director WHO YOU OVERSEE: Currently, the Director & Editor has no personnel reporting directly to him or her.
