Project overview
We have created a web-app for the uploading and managing of medical files (dicom's). Locally the app performs well, even on a low-spec machine (i5/12Gb) but the cloud version is very slow: 1.2 Gb upload locally takes around 1:30 min, and over 20min on AWS The app is rather simple: AWS -> kong (Fargate) -> orthanc (Fargate) -> RDS (meta-data), EFS (storage) The culprit lies in the connection orthanc -> EFS where thousands of files are stored, one by one. To improve this situation we consider to change the orthanc fargate instance into a EC2 instance with EBS. However we're aware that this is a much costlier solution, so: We would like to receive an offer that: defines cost for a solution that uploads 1Gb in less than 2 min defines estimate of the total monthly running costs of the solution Execution of the job should start soon. Some estimates: storage of 1 TB max of data on EBS upload & download: 1 Tb /mes (1000 dicoms uploads and downloads/views) instance usage: 10%
